With Sky Go, you can watch TV on the move on up to two devices (PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and/or compatible Android smartphones).
Here's a summary of the rules applied as you attempt to download or stream Sky Go content to each of your devices:
- 1st device: automatically registered for Sky Go.
- 2nd device: automatically registered for Sky Go.
- 3rd device: you need to manually remove one of the first two devices before this device can be registered.
- 4th device: you will not be able to register this device or any others until the start of the next calendar month.
Can I increase my Sky Go device limit?
You can double the number of devices on which you can use Sky Go by upgrading to Sky Go Extra, allowing you to download programmes to watch offline on up to four devices.
How do I view or change the devices registered for Sky Go?
If you'd like to see which devices are registered for Sky Go or make changes to your device setup, follow the steps below.
- Sign in to the Sky Go website, using your Sky iD and password.
- Select the Settings button at the top of the screen.
- Select Manage Devices button on the left of the screen.
Any devices registered for Sky Go will now be listed. Free slots will automatically be filled when you attempt to stream Sky Go content on a device that hasn't been registered.
If two devices are already registered, you will need to click Remove device before you can register a third device. You'll need to wait until the start of the next calendar month before you can make any further device registration changes. Alternatively, you can upgrade to Sky Go Extra to download programmes to watch offline on up to four devices
Note: The act of signing in to the Sky Go website is not enough on its own to cause the current device to be registered for Sky Go. Registration happens only after you've signed in and attempted to stream a programme. This means you can sign in and take a look around the Sky Go website from any device before registering your computer.
Why do I see the error "The computer you are currently using is not registered"?
This message is displayed in the Manage Devices screen of the Sky Go website if you haven't streamed any programmes on the current device.
As soon as you attempt to stream a programme, the current device will automatically be registered, as long as you haven't reached your device limit.
If the error message is still displayed after your device has been registered, signing out and back in to the Sky Go website should make it go away.
