Moving your emails and settings to Sky Yahoo Mail
As part of the move to Sky Yahoo Mail, we have copied across your information and settings where possible, however, there are some settings that cannot be transferred to your updated account.
Emails & Settings
Your emails have been copied across for you.
All Mail folder and archived messages
Whether or not this folder was copied across to Sky Yahoo Mail will depend on which settings you had to show or hide this folder. Options for showing or hiding were in the old Sky Email and if the "All Mail" folder was set to hide, this means it will not have been copied across to Sky Yahoo Mail.
The Sent folder has been copied across.
The Drafts folder has been copied across.
The “star” on the email won't have been copied over but the starred email has been copied across to your inbox.
Your POP settings have been moved across for you.
IMAP settings have been moved across for you unless accessed Sky Email on a desktop application such as Outlook.
Your filters can’t be copied across.
If you have previously used labels in your Sky Email, these have been copied across as folders although only the first 512 labels will have been copied across.
Any sub labels you had will have been copied across as new folders in Sky Yahoo Mail but will contain the name of the parent label too so you can identify them easily.
Out of office message
Everything bar the subject line of your out of office message will be copied across.
The first 5,000 characters from your signature will have been copied across.
If you’ve updated any language settings they can’t be copied across. English will be the default language on Sky Yahoo Mail and you will not be able to change it
Number of contacts
The first 5,000 contacts from your list will have been moved across alphabetically.
Please note that as we started to copy across contacts from 31st March, any contacts you created or modified after this date may not be replicated on Sky Yahoo Mail.
Information associated with your contact such as phone number, address, email address and organisation will have been copied across. However, if you had any special labels such as work phone, home phone or evening phone, these labels can’t be copied.
The contact pictures can’t be moved across. You can save your contact pictures by right-clicking on the picture and saving the image to your desktop or a specified folder.
Calendar & Chat
Your calendar will have been copied across but any shared calendars can’t be copied.
Your chat history can’t be moved across.
